Transparent qPCR Service Costs
Understanding qPCR service costs is essential for planning your research budget effectively. Unlike some service providers that obscure pricing or add hidden fees, we believe in complete transparency. Our straightforward pricing structure reflects the true value of expert gene expression analysis—combining PhD-level scientific expertise, state-of-the-art instrumentation, rigorous quality control, and comprehensive data analysis.
What Affects qPCR Service Cost?
Several factors influence the cost of professional qPCR services:
Detection Method: TaqMan probe-based assays provide superior specificity and are ideal for challenging targets, while SYBR Green dye-based assays offer cost-effective solutions for validated targets and large-scale screening.
Sample Processing: If we’re starting from cells or tissue, RNA isolation and quality assessment add to the total project cost but ensure optimal starting material for accurate results.
Number of Genes: Individual gene assays versus multi-gene panels each have different pricing structures. Our custom panel approach provides significant cost savings for researchers studying multiple genes simultaneously.
Sample Quantity: Larger sample sets benefit from our per-sample pricing model, making comprehensive studies more affordable than processing small batches repeatedly.
The True Cost of qPCR: Beyond the Price Tag
When evaluating qPCR service costs, consider the complete value equation. Running qPCR in-house requires significant capital investment in equipment ($30,000-$100,000+), ongoing maintenance costs, reagent inventory management, personnel training time, and the opportunity cost of your research team’s focus. Institutional core facilities may advertise lower per-sample costs due to subsidies, but often involve longer turnaround times, limited flexibility, and less specialized expertise.
ARQ Genetics provides transparent, competitive qPCR service costs that include everything you need for publication-quality results: expert consultation, optimized assay design, comprehensive quality control, complete data analysis, and ongoing support. No hidden fees, no minimum orders, no surprises—just straightforward pricing that reflects the true value of professional gene expression analysis.
Our Pricing Philosophy
We structure our qPCR service costs to be accessible for academic researchers while maintaining the quality standards demanded by industry clients. Whether you’re a graduate student validating dissertation results or a biotech company developing the next breakthrough therapy, you’ll receive the same expert attention and rigorous quality that has made us a trusted partner for gene expression analysis.

Sample Submission
RNA
If you are submitting previously isolated RNA, please provide at least 1µg of total RNA for individual genes or miRNAs and the same amount per panel/sample for gene panels. Please provide an assessment of RNA quality or take advantage of our RNA quality check service.
Note that for samples to be used for miRNA studies, a method that preserves small RNA, such as TriZol®, must be used. We do not recommend column-based isolation or methods that enrich the small RNA population as these may either result in loss of this fraction or adversely affect relative quantities between samples.
cDNA
If you have previously synthesized complementary DNA, we can utilize this material for gene expression experiments. Please insure that at least 20ng total RNA/µL was used during synthesis.
However, we recommend this approach only when a source of new tissue/cells or RNA is not available because varying protocols and reagents outside our control may produce inconsistent results.
Laser capture microdissection (LCM) samples
Please capture cells on commercial capture products (such as Arcturus Capsure® caps) and ship samples frozen on dry ice.
Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples
If available, please submit at least four, 20-micron sections, shipped at ambient temperature, specifying sample age, method of fixation and special requirements, if any.
Fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) samples
Please store and ship samples on dry ice.
