We offer a variety of services to suit every need…
Real time PCR services
TaqMan® assay: | $225 per gene assay (inventoried) |
$325 per gene assay (made to order) | |
SYBR® Green assay: | $50 per gene assay |
Real time PCR: | $16.50 per sample per gene, triplicate wells |
$15 duplicate wells | |
TaqMan® microRNA assay: | $300 per miRNA assay |
Our experienced scientists will select the best type of gene expression assay to meet your experimental needs as well as your budget, from SYBR® Green-based assays designed & validated onsite to pre-validated TaqMan® assays available from Applied Biosystems. Real-time PCR is performed with all the proper controls using the 7900 HT and CFX-384 real-time PCR systems.
Multigene panels
One time $1200 per gene panel* set up charge for up to 90 genes of interest and 5 client-specified endogenous control genes.
Includes assay design, RNA isolation, RNA integrity assessment, cDNA synthesis, real-time PCR and data analysis for the first 2 samples.
Additional samples $200 per sample per panel. Price includes sample preparation, real-time service and data analysis as specified above.
For those clients wishing to profile multiple genes at once in the most cost effective manner, we offer SYBR® Green based multi-gene panels, designed to YOUR specifications. Whether a published pathway or a panel of your own choosing, you won’t be restricted to specific gene sets or charged extra for custom work.
Even better, once you have purchased your panel, subsequent runs can be performed at a fraction of the cost of other commercial offerings, making essential experimental validation through replicates an affordable reality.
*Need less than a full panel of genes? Contact us to discuss the scope of your project and discounts available for smaller gene sets.
microRNA services
TaqMan® microRNA assays: | $300 per miRNA assay |
microRNA cDNA synthesis: | $20 per sample |
We use validated TaqMan® miRNA assays to bring unparalleled accuracy and sensitivity to your microRNA studies, from single miRNAs to wide profiles.
Our knowledgeable staff will work directly with you to determine the proper combination of endogenous control genes to insure the most accurate, reliable and reproducible results.
RNA Isolation and QC
RNA Isolation: | $40 per sample |
RNA Integrity Assessment: | $30 per sample |
Our staff can isolate total RNA from cells or tissues by methods appropriate to your project. Extracted RNA can be returned to the client.
Initial assessment of RNA purity and concentration is performed by NanoDrop spectrophotometer analysis.
RNA integrity is determined by using the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer (optional but highly recommended).
Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE), laser capture microdissection (LCM) and fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) samples will require specialized isolation procedures and may incur additional cost. Please contact us for requirements and quotes on these specialized sample types.
Sample Submission
RNA
If you are submitting previously isolated RNA, please provide at least 1µg of total RNA for individual genes or miRNAs and the same amount per panel/sample for gene panels. Please provide an assessment of RNA quality or take advantage of our RNA quality check service.
Note that for samples to be used for miRNA studies, a method that preserves small RNA, such as TriZol®, must be used. We do not recommend column-based isolation or methods that enrich the small RNA population as these may either result in loss of this fraction or adversely affect relative quantities between samples.
cDNA
If you have previously synthesized complementary DNA, we can utilize this material for gene expression experiments. Please insure that at least 20ng total RNA/µL was used during synthesis.
However, we recommend this approach only when a source of new tissue/cells or RNA is not available because varying protocols and reagents outside our control may produce inconsistent results.
Laser capture microdissection (LCM) samples
Please capture cells on commercial capture products (such as Arcturus Capsure® caps) and ship samples frozen on dry ice.
Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples
If available, please submit at least four, 20-micron sections, shipped at ambient temperature, specifying sample age, method of fixation and special requirements, if any.
Fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) samples
Please store and ship samples on dry ice.
